Spry Oral Insight™ is a laboratory-processed saliva test that analyzes 16 targeted microorganisms associated with different aspects of oral health. Results identify which targeted microorganisms were detected and their reported levels, providing an additional educational data point that can be considered alongside the patient’s history, clinical examination, radiographs, periodontal measurements, and other findings.

Use Oral Insight to establish a microbial baseline, support patient education and clinical conversations, and compare reported microbial levels over time as part of a broader preventive oral-health strategy.

30 Minutes Before You Begin

  1. Prepare Your Sample
    Wash your hands.
    Pour saline solution into your mouth.
    Do not swallow.
  2. Activate
    Swish the saliva-saline solution for 15–30 seconds.
    Do not swallow.
  3. Collect Your Saliva
    Spit into the collection tube until the saliva-saline mixture reaches the fill line.
  4. Add Preservative
    Remove the funnel and have the blue solution ready to twist onto the collection tube.
  5. Secure the Tube
    Tightly close the tube. Ensure the cap is fully sealed.
    The blue solution will release and preserve your sample.
  6. Mix
    Invert the tube gently 5–10 times.
    DO NOT SHAKE.
  7. Label Your Sample
    Write your full name and Date of Birth on the label.
    Apply the label securely to the tube.
  8. Package and Return
    Place the sealed tube in the specimen bag.
    Seal the specimen bag and place it in the prepaid return mailer.
    Return according to the instructions provided.
